ASEAN-BAC Survey on ASEAN Competitiveness
The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) is conducting a survey to collate business views on the competitiveness of the ASEAN region for trade and investments and the importance of ASEAN policy measuresto deepen economic integration on business operations. The 2011 ASEAN-BAC Survey on ASEAN Competitiveness follows from the success of the inaugural 2010 ASEAN-BAC Survey, where survey findings and policy recommendations were reported to ASEAN Leaders in October 2010 in Hanoi and ASEAN Economic Ministers in Manado in August 2011[1].
The ASEAN-BAC, which comprises three business leaders from each ASEAN economy, was formed in 2003 by the ASEAN Leaders to provide private sector feedback on ASEAN economic cooperation. ASEAN has set a goal to form an ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015, which will establish ASEAN as a single market and production base. The views of the business community in ASEAN gathered through the 2011 Survey would assist policy makers to prioritise policy measures that would enhance the region’s competitiveness and facilitate the conduct of business.
We believe strongly in taking into consideration the views of many startups in our report to the ASEAN Leaders and warmly invite as many startups as possible to participate in this survey.
