Digital Marketing Plan Competition for Startup (Bubu Awards v.07)

Indonesia has seen the rise of digital startups in the recent years. This positive momentum was also marked by some significant investments to local companies by global names including Yahoo and Groupon.

IDBYTE are committed to grow the digital industry together with all the stakeholders. We believe empowering digital startups with the right foundation will eventually contribute to the country’s economy growth.

Great idea and strong business model are mandatory foundations to start a business in digital industry. Realizing the concept and executing in a scalable manner are the major challenges.

Once the startup business is ready to be rolled out, next is to plan and formulate the marketing strategy. New approaches in marketing have been invented and explored by marketers around the globe. We believe similar steps should be taken by digital startups in Indonesia.

We invite all local digital startups in Indonesia to compete in the 1st IDBYTE Digital Marketing Plan Competition for Startups. This initiative is supported by Nusantara Ventures.

Clearly define business and marketing objective of your startups and then formulate the marketing plan to achieve the objective. Entry will be judged based on content, context, connectivity and continuity planning relevance to the target audience’s behavior.

Uniqueness, originality and creativity of concept as well as effectiveness and efficiency in cost structure are critical. It has to be able demonstrate a sound understanding of local consumer insight relevant to the business. It has also to display a thorough analysis of competition and room for future improvement.

The Startup business operations have to be less than 2 years and have raised profit less than Rp. 1,000,000,000.

Terms and Conditions

  • Entries must be submitted online via www.bubuawards.com
  • Each entry can only be submitted by one Startup owner
  • Maximum size of submission is 4MB; this includes video file format if the work requires
  • Entries must include brief of startup overview, communication objectives, strategy, implementation planning, measurement analysis and a summary of how the plan would uniquely achieve the business objective
  • Succinct and factual summation of the strategy and plan has to be relevant to the target audience’s behavior and insight.
  • Irrelevance will inevitably be marked down
  • Business metrics and analytics must be presented as precisely as possible, providing independent measurement where available. Any other increase in business performance should also be quoted. Vague results may lead to poor marks
  • The Organizer reserves the right to publish details and images of entries, including website statistics. If entrants have included information of a confidential nature which is not to be divulged to an audience beyond Judging Panel, the relevant section(s) must be clearly marked as “Not for Publication”
  • Entries must be submitted NO LATER THAN 30 June 2011 5PM WIB
  • Only the official owner of the Website will be awarded at Bubu Awards v.07, NOT TO the Developer, Agency, Consultancy or Partner
  • Works which might offend national or religious sentiments or public taste will not be accepted. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate and offensive entries
  • Entries will be not be returned.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that fail to provide required documentations.
